the darker(black) the hair,the more the melanin(black pigment) is, (i suppose). so can you tell me how to improve the colour (blackness)of hair by taking particular kind of food or which mineral is exactly responsible for blackness of hair.
Is there any source of melanin(pigment) in diet?
You do realize, the more melanin in your body the more darker your skin. And there is no way you can get 'melanin' in a diet. For black hair, you Shikakai hair oil, curry leaves and eat Gooseberries.

Reply:melanin is just pigment.our bodycells produce it to protect us from UV of sun.for example if u it carot before u go on holiday in hot country it gonna help u to get better suntan(to make your skin dacker).but not hair.our hair colour depend of genetic factors and enviroment(for example sunshine can make your hair lighter).i thing that some oils can help u.u should ask in pharmacy
Reply:To your surprise, a blond and a black haired person have the SAME AMOUNT of melanin in each hair. The difference is agregation patterns, blondes have more concentrated melanin inside thier hairs, and black hair has melanin well dispersed in each hair. So hair colour is a function of melanin distribution, darker hair has its melanin well distributed, blond is trully concentrated.
Oils, paints and the likes are just cosmetics and no change in colour is possible in a human being.
