PUPPYS pigment!!!?

my puppy at seven weeks still has a redish nose, but is getting darker like it has blackness to it but is still redish aswell.... its a maltese, IHAVE NOT GOT HER FROM HER MOTHER YET.

but have seen photos....

WILL HER NOSE FILL IN??

AND DOES IT AFFECT HER HEALTH??

PLEASE HELP!!

PUPPYS pigment!!!?
It is not likley a health issue, but you can't count on it becoming black. Sometimes they will go ahead and get darker, but not always. Now if it is VERY red, and not just pinkish, it could be something wrong..as most puppies, if their nose isn't black, it is pinkish to brown..

Here are several pages of typical Maltese puppies..%26gt; http://images.google.com/images?client=f...
Reply:it ok white dog some times have the redish thing on there nose
Reply:It may or may not change colors, thay are sooooo cute and I love pink noses even half pink noses it makes them so much more interesting. It does not have any health issues as far as I have ever heard. My daughters Rat terrier has pink and black on her nose. My older mutt had black with brown spots....hummmm strange. Don't worry, just make sure the mother and father are healthy and that it isn't a puppy mill....there are many and they can fool you with pictures, I always visit before I buy. The only for sure way to see the environment. It's an emotional and a financial investment, have heard of many people epending many hundreds of dollars on sick puppies out of love from this awful practice. just be sure OK? good luck. Happy Puppying.
Reply:Puppies usually start to develop their pigmentation shortly after birth. If your pup still has no black pigmentation on her nose at 7 weeks then I would suggest that it is unlikely she will develop the required black pigment for a maltese.
