Dark pigment on armpits?

Hi, I have dark pigment on my armpits, how can I get it to my natural skintone?

Dark pigment on armpits?
Sounds like Acanthosis nigricans. Acanthosis nigricans is a disorder that may begin at any age. It causes velvety, light-brown-to-black, markings usually on the neck, under the arms or in the groin. Acanthosis nigricans is most often associated with obesity.

Eating too much of the wrong foods, especially starches and sugars, can cause insulin resistance. This will result in elevated insulin levels. Most patients with acanthosis nigricans have a higher insulin level than those of the same weight without acanthosis nigricans. Elevated levels of insulin in most cases probably cause acanthosis nigricans. The elevated insulin levels in the body activates insulin receptors in the skin, forcing it to grow abnormally. Reducing the circulating insulin by dieting or medication can lead to improvement of the skin problem.

When acanthosis nigricans develops in people who are not overweight, a medical work-up should be done. Rarely acanthosis nigricans is associated with a tumor, most commonly of the stomach or gut. In these cases acanthosis can bee seen in extra places, such as the lips or hands and is unusually severe. Occasionally acanthosis nigricans is congenital or due to an endocrine (glandular) disorder.

Treatment to just improve the appearance includes Retin-A, 20% urea, alpha hydroxyacids, and lactic or salicylic acid prescriptions.

Good luck!
Reply:Regular scrubbing or go for light pulse treatment. It will lighten the pigmentation
Reply:Try using baking soda and lemon juice. My cousin has on her face and it removed all her dark circles, age spots, and freckles.
Reply:you should be careful what kinda razor you use cause under your arms are super senitive so you can get razor burn eaily i personally love the venus razors but the cut to close under my armpits i have found that the cheap ones work better but the moment they get a little dull chuck um and if you don't have to shave under your arms everyday then don't . i had that same problem and that dove deoderant really works
Reply:oh i had that. if you sweat and your stinky all the time there is your answer. so the best thing i would say to do is get some alchol (sorry i spelled it wrong),some cream like nivea ,and some cotton balls. OK all you do is get the cream and put it on your armpits and leave it for like 20 seconds or less then get your cotton ball and put some alchol and start to scrub your armpits. you will be amazed at how much dirt comes off!! oh and then shave it and wash it very good with hot then cold water..trust me this will work but you will have to use this for about 1 or 2 weeks before it completely comes off good luck :)
Reply:go and get this nice $9 skin lightening cream.. it's safe and potent, and it works.. it did for me!
